It depends on the trip you want. June to October is the summer circuit: the Manali side of Spiti opens over Kunzum Pass, so you can loop Shimla → Kinnaur → Spiti → Chandratal → Manali, and 21 Spiti with Chandrataal batches run in that window. October to December is winter Spiti: the Manali road is closed by snow, so the route goes in and out through Kinnaur, with snow-covered monasteries, frozen streams and far fewer travellers — our Winter Spiti Expedition runs 11 batches then, plus a single New Year's batch from 25 December to 2 January. Kinnaur alone (Sarahan, Sangla, Chitkul, Kalpa) is good for most of the year; autumn brings apple season, and March brings Holi celebrations in Sangla. If you tell us your month, we'll suggest the route that suits it.

Yes. Besides the fixed departure batches, every route can run as a private trip on your own dates — Spiti, Kinnaur, Shimla and Manali, and we also plan custom trips to Kashmir and Uttarakhand. Tell us your dates, group size, budget and interests through the Plan Your Journey form or on WhatsApp, and a trip planner will send route ideas and prices. Our listed private circuits (such as the Shimla–Kinnaur Classic and the Private Spiti Circuits) are priced for a minimum of 4 travellers; for smaller groups we'll quote the private trip individually or suggest a fixed batch that fits your dates.

Warm, clean hotels and guesthouses that we own or work with directly and check in person — no anonymous third-party bookings. On the Spiti and Kinnaur circuits that means Hotel Sarahan Inn in Sarahan, The Shambhu Lodge or The Legendary Rupin River View in Sangla, Hotel White Nest, Hotel Him Paradise or Hotel Royal Voyages in Kalpa, The Delek House or Hotel Palvey in Kaza, and a camp near Chandratal Lake on the summer route. Breakfast and dinner are included on fixed departures. In winter, rooms have heating; heater charges, where a hotel levies them, are paid directly to the hotel.

Safety is built into how the trips run. Every fixed departure has an experienced driver-cum-guide who knows the road, a First Aid kit and an oxygen cylinder, and the Inner Line permits sorted before you arrive. Our Spiti routes climb gradually through Kinnaur — Sarahan, Sangla and Kalpa before Kaza — which gives your body time to acclimatise to the altitude instead of jumping straight to 3,800 m. During a trip, our team is reachable 24 hours a day, and winter departures follow the Kinnaur road, which stays open when the Manali side is closed. If anyone in your group has a medical condition, tell us when you book so we can plan around it.

The Spiti Half Circuit Expedition is our most affordable fixed departure, priced from ₹12,999 per person on Triple Sharing (₹13,649 after 5% GST) or ₹13,999 on Double Sharing (₹14,699 after GST). It's the cheapest because it's also the shortest route we run, a compact 4 nights / 5 days covering Shimla, Kalpa, and Kaza, without the extra days needed to reach Chandratal Lake. The price includes breakfast and dinner daily, an experienced driver-cum-guide, a First Aid kit and oxygen cylinder for altitude safety, Inner Line permits, and stays at our own hotels in Kalpa and Kaza, so there's no middleman markup on accommodation. 11 fixed batches run between July and October each year. If you want Chandratal Lake included, the next-cheapest option is Spiti with Chandrataal at ₹17,999, which adds two more days and the lake-camping leg via Kunzum Pass.

No, every price shown on our fixed departure pages is the base package price before tax. A flat 5% GST is added at checkout across all batches, so ₹12,999 (Half Circuit) becomes ₹13,649, and ₹17,999 (Spiti with Chandrataal or Winter Expedition) becomes ₹18,899. The GST amount is always shown clearly before you confirm payment. There are no hidden charges added later. This 5% rate applies uniformly whether you're booking Triple Sharing or Double Sharing, and whether it's a summer, winter, or festival-season batch. The only costs not included in the quoted price are things called out separately in each package's exclusions, such as lunch during the trip, personal expenses, optional adventure activities, and hotel heater charges in winter months, which are payable directly to the hotel if used.
