What is the cheapest fixed departure Spiti package?

The Spiti Half Circuit Expedition is our most affordable fixed departure, priced from ₹12,999 per person on Triple Sharing (₹13,649 after 5% GST) or ₹13,999 on Double Sharing (₹14,699 after GST). It's the cheapest because it's also the shortest route we run, a compact 4 nights / 5 days covering Shimla, Kalpa, and Kaza, without the extra days needed to reach Chandratal Lake. The price includes breakfast and dinner daily, an experienced driver-cum-guide, a First Aid kit and oxygen cylinder for altitude safety, Inner Line permits, and stays at our own hotels in Kalpa and Kaza, so there's no middleman markup on accommodation. 11 fixed batches run between July and October each year. If you want Chandratal Lake included, the next-cheapest option is Spiti with Chandrataal at ₹17,999, which adds two more days and the lake-camping leg via Kunzum Pass.

Do the quoted prices include GST?

No, every price shown on our fixed departure pages is the base package price before tax. A flat 5% GST is added at checkout across all batches, so ₹12,999 (Half Circuit) becomes ₹13,649, and ₹17,999 (Spiti with Chandrataal or Winter Expedition) becomes ₹18,899. The GST amount is always shown clearly before you confirm payment. There are no hidden charges added later. This 5% rate applies uniformly whether you're booking Triple Sharing or Double Sharing, and whether it's a summer, winter, or festival-season batch. The only costs not included in the quoted price are things called out separately in each package's exclusions, such as lunch during the trip, personal expenses, optional adventure activities, and hotel heater charges in winter months, which are payable directly to the hotel if used.

Which package includes Chandratal Lake?

Spiti with Chandrataal is the package built specifically around Chandratal Lake, a 6 nights / 7 days circuit with a full night of camping beside the lake, reached via Kunzum Pass after Kaza. The route runs Shimla → Sarahan → Sangla → Kalpa → Tabo → Kaza → Chandratal → Manali → Delhi, so you get the classic Spiti temple and monastery stops as well as the lake. It's priced from ₹17,999 (Triple Sharing) or ₹19,999 (Double Sharing) plus 5% GST, with 21 batches running June to October, the widest batch spread of any of our fixed departures. If you'd rather do it on two wheels, the Spiti Biking Expedition also ends at Chandratal before Manali. The Half Circuit and Winter Expedition don't include Chandratal, since the Manali-Kaza road closes with snow after October.

Can I spend New Year's Eve in Spiti?

You can. The Winter Spiti NY Special is a single fixed batch, 25 December to 2 January, and the only departure of ours timed to reach Kalpa exactly on 31 December for a New Year's Eve bonfire party. It's priced from ₹20,999 (Triple Sharing) or ₹22,999 (Double Sharing) plus 5% GST. Because there's only one batch and it covers the highest-demand week of the year, seats fill faster than our regular winter departures. Early booking is recommended. The itinerary follows the same Sarahan-Sangla-Kalpa-Kaza winter route as our standard Winter Spiti Expedition, with breakfast and dinner daily, a driver-cum-guide, First Aid kit and oxygen cylinder, and Inner Line permits included, plus the New Year's Eve celebration itself. If the NY Special dates don't work, the regular Winter Spiti Expedition runs 11 batches from October to December instead.

Is there a motorcycle or biking option to Spiti?

There is. The Spiti Biking Expedition is our dedicated motorcycle route, 6 nights / 7 days, ending at Chandratal Lake before Manali. There are four ways to join: Solo Rider (₹39,999 Triple / ₹42,999 Double + GST) if you're riding alone, Dual Rider (₹29,999 / ₹32,999) if you're sharing a bike with a pillion, Self Bike (₹19,999 / ₹22,999) if you're bringing your own motorcycle, and Seat in Coach (₹24,999 / ₹27,999) if you'd rather travel in the support vehicle without riding at all. Every batch, 12 run between July and October, includes a backup vehicle with a mechanic and spares, so mechanical issues don't strand the group. Non-riders can join the same batch as Seat in Coach travelers, meaning mixed groups can travel together.

What's included in the fixed departure price?

Every fixed departure batch includes buffet breakfast and dinner daily, an experienced driver-cum-guide who also manages logistics, a First Aid kit and oxygen cylinder for altitude safety, Inner Line permits for the restricted-zone stretches of the route, and stays at our own hotels along the way, which is why pricing stays lower than routes booked through third-party hotel partners. Not included, across every batch: lunch during travel days, personal expenses like shopping and laundry, any meals or drinks beyond what's listed, adventure activities not already in the itinerary, and hotel heater charges in winter months if used (payable directly to the hotel). Route-specific batches add their own extras. The Biking Expedition includes a mechanic and backup vehicle, and the Winter NY Special adds the 31 December bonfire celebration.

How do I book a seat on a fixed departure batch?

Open any fixed departure package page (Half Circuit, Spiti with Chandrataal, Winter Expedition, Biking Expedition, or the NY Special), pick an open batch date from the list shown, and submit the reserve-seat form with your name and phone number. No payment is needed to submit the form itself; our team calls back within 2 hours to confirm seat availability for that exact batch and walk you through the advance payment that locks your dates, with the balance due before departure. If you'd rather talk it through first, message us directly on WhatsApp. If your first-choice date isn't showing an open batch, the form still lets you flag interest so we can notify you if a seat opens up, or suggest the next available date on the same route.

What if my preferred batch is showing "Filling Fast" or "Full"?

Accepted Answer

"Filling Fast" means a batch has only a handful of seats left based on current bookings. These usually sell out within days, so it's worth confirming quickly if those dates work for you. "Full" means that specific batch is closed to new bookings entirely; no amount of advance payment will secure a seat once it's marked Full. Every fixed departure route runs multiple batches across its season: the Half Circuit alone has 11 from July to October, and Spiti with Chandrataal has 21 from June to October. So there's almost always a nearby open date on the same route.
